Problem in Widget Panel in design mode when applying custom template

  hi there , I applied a new custom template to the DNA so I made some changes to the Site.Master and I removed almost all tags that have ids but of course I kept the zones divs becaue I knew that it's the place for dynamic widgets . but I have problem when opening any dynamic page on Design mode and trying to press add content button nothing will happen I mean the widget tool box will not appear at the top of the page ??? I tried to reput to divs but nothing happened could you tell me why ? of course I kept the references for all scripts and css files

  Why delete the divs that has id ? Sharing my ideas and codes to make things change.

  because I don't need them I wanna apply another theme as I told you , but any way I think this is not the reason because I returned the main div dna-page as I told you but it's still doesn't work !!!

  That is hard to say ... Mm... I don't recommend modified the Site.Master , you could create a new one and select it in the global master page in Console for your need.   To remove the divs that has id will destroy the Theming and brings more works load to update to next version. Sharing my ideas and codes to make things change.

  Ok , I think I should re  add all divs and change their style in a new theme . another question please : how can I add new Layouts files I added one but didn't appear in the list box that display all the layouts .

  Hi My friend , I got the problem :) I delete the top zone div completely ? which of course wrong !!! but now every thing is ok .

  The 12 page layouts could not match your needs ?  Your page must be so specially. Unfortunately the page editor could not support new layouts file detected. Sharing my ideas and codes to make things change.

Unfortunately the page editor could not support new layouts file detected. it goes without saying that DNA templates layout are so powerful but yes I need others for very simple reason : you put a fixed width for divs inside the layout files maybe not all of them but many of them so that's we might need other any way I think there is a better solution which might be moving the fixed widths to the css files ? what do you think sir ? any way really really I just thought that I can add other layouts because I'm sure that DNA is powerful and so so so flexible :) and really I liked it every time I dive into its files . many thanks

  I have not enough time to write a document to explain the Layout mode of the DNA. Now we can talk about it. 1.Web site layout - The web site layout is the global layout of the DNA, it control by Master page,that you could change the master page settings in console. An you can put MasterLayoutAttribute on the top of your controller class to support Web site layout. 2.Page layout - Only controlling the page - content layout (Widget zones), why i said 12 layouts cover all needs ?  Sth you are right! the zone size is fixed that is not so flexible ,but if thay are size not fixed ,when you add the Widgets in zone the zone maybe auto put to a wrong position. But that is not a problem , thing in another way the page layout is a set of common layout settings that allows user change the content positions without any coding. So i you have any special needs and you are a programmer that you should use "Customize layout"   3.Customize layout - That is MVC View! You could add a new views that only needs add the divs has "dna-widget-zone" class which allows users put Widgets on it. Sharing my ideas and codes to make things change.

  Customize layout just a name actually it's no different from create a controller,action and view in MVC.  You could read this document :https://dotnetage.com/publishing/home/2010/11/27/6781/extend-your-action.html Sharing my ideas and codes to make things change.
