DNA + Oracle installation

  First of all congratulations for the excellent CMS. I´m having problems to make DNA work with Oracle DB. I´ve tried to change the connection string and include the Oracle data provider dll, but isn´t working. How can I make this work? Thanks

  Hi I've not test the DNA on Oracle yet. In order to config the DotNetAge to Oracle db we need to test the following steps: 1.Config the membership,roleManager,profile connection to Oracle 2.Config the DotNetAge connections to Oracle Sharing my ideas and codes to make things change.

  Unfortunately to support the Oracle is not an easy things, but we are working for it in next version. Sharing my ideas and codes to make things change.

  As a previous DNN guy, I love this MVC3-based CMS. DNA is great! But, I have to be able to use an Oracle back-end, and only Oracle, for my next project. :( Do you have a timeframe in mind for supporting Oracle as the persistant data layer for DNA? And is there any source in an alpha or beta state that supports Oracle that I can look at? Thanks!

  I wants upgrade DNA Data Layer to support MySQL and Oracle. But i'm not good at them. I need more time to do some tests and resolve some compatibility problems. 1.Can EF4.1 support Oracle and MySQL smoothly ? 2.We need to build some provider classes to support ASP.NET2 membership, roles and profiles. e.g: OracleMembershipProvider, OracleRolesProvider,OracleProfileProvider. 3.Update all "[Column(TypeName = "ntext")]" (TypeName="ntext" only support SQLServer and SQLCE) attributes for oracle text field type with in datalayer classes. Sharing my ideas and codes to make things change.

  Thanks for the quick repsonse! Are you working with the Oracle 11.2.0.3 client? It's the first production release of their support for Entity Framework. (We are working with it now to get a handle on EF & LINQ.)

  Thanks for that, but i'd like to use SQLServer more than Oracle. It's too expensive and complex for me. But i will try to resolve this issue in next version. Sharing my ideas and codes to make things change.
